Our Mission

OM Corporation is a not-for-profit organization devoted to developing educational, information, and lifestyle management products, systems, and services based on evolving principles of organization and co-operation.

We specialize in providing organizational design and support for charitable, community, and not-for-profit organizations.

Our Vision

We are a group of education and software design professionals who have consistently performed creative work in a variety of areas (see below). In order to improve the efficiency and scope of our efforts, we have organized and incorporated our work as OM Corporation. By focusing our combined talents through the corporation, we hope to be able to encourage more effective activity, both paid and volunteer, in our fields of expertise and related areas.

Our goal is to make OM Corporation information, products, and services available to eligible and interested groups, particularly other not-for-profits, at minimal cost or free of charge. These activities are funded through grants, donations, and public sales.

From the Executive Director...

Finding our way in this complex world is not easy, and when the predominant systems in place operate from a limited intention (looking after the "bottom line"), we achieve limited and sometimes detrimental results. I believe that intention, or motive, is the most important factor determining quality of life and personal fulfillment. Similarly, the collective intentions of the members of a corporation must operate from a place of vision and due concern for its community and the environment. OM Corporation is about achieving balance, both within and outside of itself.

Thank-you for your interest in OM Corporation. Your feedback is important to us. Please contact us with any questions or comments about our web site, the corporation, or about the products or services we offer.

History of OM Corporation

OM Corporation was the inspiration of a small group of creative, education, multimedia, and software design professionals who consistently performed volunteer work: such as AV productions, technical training, database software, and graphics design for community and not-for-profit organizations.

In order to improve the efficiency and scope of their efforts, they organized and incorporated their work in January 1997 as OM Corporation. Though the Corporation is still very young, it has already successfully gotten its first major project, the Lit-Link database, off the ground. It is currently hosting a number of other software and web-based projects.

By focusing the combined talents of its staff, volunteers and members, the Corporation is intended to encourage more effective volunteer activity in their fields of expertise, and to provide technical support to not-for-profit organizations.
